Ingredients
4 pounds pork butt (boneless)
1 1/2 Tablespoons "For J's Garlic Salt"
3-4 garlic cloves (slices)
Instructions:
- Insert small paring knife (2-3 inches deep) all over roast for just the right amount of garlic slices. Then insert garlic slices in each pocket.
- Rub “for J’s” Sea Salt all over pork and marinate over night in refrigerator.
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place pork in pan, fat side up & uncovered. Roast for 1hr & 20 minutes. Then check with a meat thermometer periodically until it reaches 160 degrees.
- Let roast rest for 15 to 20 minutes before slicing.
Gravy:
- As your pork rest, pour drippings into a sauce pan.
- Add 1 can chicken or beef broth to drippings.
- Add salt and pepper to taste if needed.
- Thicken by adding cornstarch/water mixture or flour/water mixture and bring to a boil to preferred thickness.
